Hi, my name is Marie Colangelo. I’m running for the LD20 Senate seat in the Arizona Legislature. It is my belief that the Republican-controlled Legislature has gone too far in cutting spending for education and other human services. Arizona is at the bottom of the list of state spending per student. And unfortunately, it shows in the scores compared to other states.
I think it’s time for the Legislature to stop doing favors for the wealthiest among us and to start investing in our future: the Arizona education system. Without a strong education for Arizona children, there cannot be hope for jobs for them here when they graduate.
Join me in telling McComish and the Republicans in the Legislature that enough is enough! It’s time to take our state back from the people who would rather have tax cuts for the wealthy rather than an education for our children.
